TGA 2 CRY is a set of 3 GEM/TOS programs that can be used to convert TGA and ?BM images to CRY together with their C source code.

In more detail. The program will load an image and convert it from TGA which is a widely used format in the atari world to the native jaguar format of CRY in the same colour depth as the original TGA image. TGA images are uncompressed bitmaps that can be of any colour depth required. One can use Imagecopy 4 or Smurf to convert to TGA almost any other file format. It is possible that with the description of the CRY file that Curt provided, Smurf can be updated to include it. Maybe contacting the current maintainer of Smurf about such an inclusion is a good idea?

Most Falcon painting programs can produce TGA images and also the Atari port of persistance of vision. There is also a command line version of the program that doesn't use GEM and can possibly be ported to other platforms.

In the image you can see the TGA program in action.
