Just wondering if anyone has managed to compile a list of available ROM images for the Jaguar? I know that most of the classic Jag games have been dumped, but I think there's a few that no one has been able to find yet.

The no-intro rom set is missing (from the classic era)..

Breakout 2000
Protector (is this considered homebrew or not? AtariAge says it's old-era but the sequal is homebrew???)
Towers 2

But I did find Breakout 2000 on a Russian rom site.

Awesome! I know some people have been looking for that ROM. Do you by any chance have a link for it?

Protector should be considered a homebrew game. Not sure why AA has it listed as a classic-era ROM. On top of that, it is owned by a current Jag dev/publisher, so it would fall into the "off-limits" category here.

I do plan on putting together a list of games that are on and off limits, just to make things easier in this regard. I would certainly appreciate any help that anyone would have to offer for this. Smiley

Well the guy who sent me the link said this...

Quote
This might be helpful...   (Shhhh,.,.. Don't post on Atariage or
Jaguar Sector 2 and probably not on public boards for a while.  Just
pass on to other hobbyists by PM.)

So out of respect I'll just send you the link. Of course you could always mirror some of the roms here.... Wink

Hey, that'll work. Smiley May want to let that person know about this forum.

As far as hosting ROMs...that is currently not an option at the moment. Our host has requested that we not do this, so we'll have to respect their wishes. Sometime in the future though, I'd definitely like to do it.

Oh, and almost forgot....Towers II, as well as anything else published by Telegames, is kind of a gray area right now. I'm still deciding on whether or not to allow any of their game ROMs to be posted, as they are still "technically" an active publisher who is still selling their own games. However, many of their games are unavailable at the moment. For now though, proceed as normal. Smiley

I'd like to know if anyone has a list or if one could be put together showing what roms work with the skunkboards & how to go about it if there is any special info needed.

Another thing, since I've not seen much talk of roms for Jaguar anywhere before, were there any trainers/patches made? I used to love that stuff back in the day on my Super Famicom.

I know Raiden doesn't work on Skunkboards - probably because of an EEPROM check.  Can anyone out there with the skills required patch this? It's beyond me!

Getting Raiden to work on the Skunks would be awesome.  The existing image does work on the Flash Cards.

Trainers and patches eh?  What was that all about?

You know Battlesphere actually had the level 92 patch that a lot of people found amazing.  A bug was discovered and the Scatologic guys found a way to send a patch to the cartridge and patch that.  Can't remember if it was a one time download, or if you had to download before use.

Interesting to hear! I had never heard that before. Do you know how that was accomplished?

IIRC there was a small patch sent through JUGS that allowed you to bypass Gauntlet level 92.

I assume that "*" means "not dumped"...Right?
Well "Iron Soldier II" is currently in the No-Intro rom set.  Smiley

Yeah...about Raiden  Undecided I ended up just buying it before trying it. Good ol' game; reminds me of the early PS1 days  Cool

So any clue (no pun) as to where or how this supposed patch works? Regardless, we still have the level select cheat, which i figured was the way around this problem  Huh

<Link temporarily removed>

And who has any sources codes?
I have source for DOOM, but need others and prefer 2D platformer.
